Malik Legal Services ("we", "us") is a licensed paralegal firm regulated by the Law Society of Ontario, located at 1965 Britannia Rd W, Suite 212, Mississauga, ON L5M 4Y4. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website and our intake process, in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and our professional obligations of confidentiality.

2. What we collect

When you contact us or submit our intake form, we may collect:

• Your name, email address, and phone number
• The general nature of your legal matter and any details you choose to share
• Documents you choose to send us (e.g., a photo of a ticket or notice)
• Your preferred contact method

This website does not use advertising trackers. Basic technical information (such as browser type) may be processed by our hosting provider to serve the site securely.

3. How we use it

• To respond to your inquiry and assess whether we can represent you
• To provide legal services if you retain us
• To meet our regulatory and record-keeping obligations

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever.

4. Storage and retention

Intake submissions are delivered to our firm email and stored on secure, access-controlled systems. If you do not become a client, we retain intake information only as long as reasonably necessary to document the inquiry and any conflict check. Client files are retained in accordance with Law Society of Ontario requirements.

5. Who has access

Only Malik Legal Services personnel involved in your matter have access to your information. Where we use third-party service providers (e.g., email or form processing), they are bound to safeguard your data and may not use it for their own purposes.

6. Your rights

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

7. A note on confidentiality

Submitting the intake form does not create a paralegal-client relationship. Please do not send confidential details beyond what is needed for an initial assessment until we confirm a retainer.
